Dianne GOVE (Information Officer)
Dianne GOVE worked for Alzheimer Europe from 1996 to 2001 and rejoined the organisation in January 2004 as Information Officer. Before and in between working for Alzheimer Europe, she worked for the European Commission and also in the field of banking and innovation. After completing an Honours Degree in Psychology, she obtained MAs in Education and Psychoanalysis and then trained in psychotherapy.
She has worked on a wide range of topics, starting with the European Care Manual and a manual for people in the early stages of dementia. This was followed by work on the Lawnet projects, guidelines on the use of advance directives and on good end-of-life care, and a survey on social support and services for people with dementia and carers in Europe.
In the last few years, she has chaired working groups which have produced guidelines on the ethical use of assistive technology for and by people with dementia and on the ethics of dementia research.
