Sirpa PIETIKÄINEN (Member)

Sirpa Pietikäinen became a member of the Alzheimer Europe Board in the autumn of 2010. She has a long history in advocating issues of people with memory disabling diseases in Finland. She is, and has been, a carer of her family members suffering from memory diseases but also she has been active in Finnish memory organisations. At the moment, she is the Vice-President of the Council of Finnish memory organisations. In her career before becoming an MEP in 2008, she served as a Minister for Environment in Finland in the beginning of the 90s.
