Jean-Pierre Audy is a Member of the European Parliament from the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats).
He currently has the positions of Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Budgetary Control, he is a Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and a Substitute on the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
In his contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority he :
- signed EP Written Declaration 80/2008 on the priorities in the fight against Alzheimer's disease,

participated in September 2008 in a conference on 'New approaches for the care of dependent people' in Chamalières (France)
