Personal accounts of living with dementia can be an invaluable support to people with dementia and give insight to all who work in this area. The Dementia in Europe magazine runs a regular article on living with dementia, in which we hear about people's experience from different countries around Europe.
In this section we have contributions from and/or summaries of literature about people's experiences of living with dementia including:
- (April 2010) A carer from Spain describes his experience of caring for his wife who had dementia
- (December 2009) Hasse and Birgitta Hansson describe their experience of living with dementia in Sweden
- (October 2009)A book by Laila Lanes, the wife of ex-Norwegian Fisheries Minister, Jan Henry Olsen who has Alzheimer's disease. Ms Lanes has written a book about their experience of living with dementia.
