Gráinne joined the Alzheimer Society of Ireland seven years ago and is responsible for the policy and research agenda which feed directly into the public advocacy work of the organisation. She previously worked in a variety of organisations in the community and voluntary sector and has significant experience of working on rights based agendas for marginalised and disadvantaged people. She contributes as a guest lecturer on undergraduate social policy courses and is published in the area of independent living for disabled people. Gráinne holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from University College Dublin and a Masters in Social Policy.
