20 December 2015: Bojan Španja leaves the EWGPWD

News & Activities

On 20 December, we received news that Bojan Španja will leave our European Working Group of People With Dementia (EWGPWD). His wife, Mihela contacted us to let us know that Bojan will no longer be in a position to participate in meetings and will step down from his position as a member of the group as a result.

Bojan was born in June 1955 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He trained as a systems engineer and worked for 20 years in the computing department of a large company. In 1996, he established his own company and successfully developed and sold computer software for 13 years. He has always been an avid sportsman and angler, as well as a motorsports fan. After receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease in 2010, he became a founding member of the EWGPWD in 2012.

We would like to thank Bojan for his important contributions and Mihela for supporting her husband at meetings.
